Crypto Dios

Crypto Dios is a conceptual NFT Marketplace that aims to provide a platform where users can Create, Buy and Bid on the latest and trending NFT all around the world. This project presents an approach to solving problems faced due to a missing mobile-based platform to create and buy an NFT project.

PROBLEM

NFT creators and collectors struggle with the end-to-end process of creating, selling, and/or buying NFTS on a single mobile platform.

NFT adoption in India is growing at a very fast pace and there is an urgent need for an organized platform. As the NFT creators and collectors struggle with the end-to-end process of creating, selling, and/or buying NFTS. A platform is required that guides the users in a simple and effective way.

SOLUTION

Design a complete app platform for buying and creating NFTs.


NFT Crypto Dios is a seamless, easy-to-use, beginner-friendly NFT marketplace that offers security & safety while helping them to create a steady income from their artwork.
It Provides Support and guides the user with a dedicated help center with a user-friendly and beginner-friendly platform.

ASSUMPTIONS

The target audience is users from top-tier cities who are tech savvy and believe in Blockchain/NFT space.

RESEARCH

Both qualitative and quantitative analysis: Use of secondary research and one-on-one interviews (Google Meet/Zoom).

As I never had been into NFT or crypto space, so it was very important for me to understand problem space and user journeys so that I can do smooth ideations for solving the above problem. I then conducted interviews to learn more about the different experiences people have  with NFT Buying/Selling.

Research Goals

Through my research, I wanted to:

  • Understand the market trends of the NFT or crypto space.
  • Identify Crypto Dios target market.
  • Identify Crypto Dios competitors and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Learn about the current trends in the NFT Market.
  • Understand the experiences people have when they buy NFT.

SECONDARY RESEARCH

“The global NFT market size is expected to grow from USD 3.0 billion in 2022 to USD  13.6 billion by 2027.”

Starting with secondary research, I began to draw from research articles on the topic of NFT, Crypto, and Different NFT Marketplace  when I stumbled upon an eye-opening statistic from Research and Market on Global News Wire.


One of the leading NFT marketplaces crossed record sales of $1.5 billion.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

Almost none of them had the app platform to create and sell NFT’s and help the user achieve their goals.

While keeping the above statistic in mind, I analyzed the 4 most popular apps surrounding this NFT space. This then became my opportunity for a solution.

The insights gained here provided key information in terms of the strengths we want to build upon and the weaknesses we want to avoid while keeping Crypto Dios specific goals in mind.

USER INTERVIEW

During these interviews, I asked open-ended questions to learn as much as I could about their experiences and identify what the user’s needs truly are.

I conducted interviews with 5 people, about 10-15 minutes each.

Some questions asked during the interview:

  • How did you find out about the latest NFT and its MARKET PLACE?
  • Tell me about how you typically discover new NFT Marketplace.
  • How easy or difficult is it to use the crypto wallets
  • What platform do you choose to create or buy the NFT Artworks?
  • What factors influence your decision on which NFT to buy?

THE MAIN INSIGHT

None of the previous apps my interviewees used have the same platform to create and sell NFT Artwork.

Based on the trends in my affinity map, A primary user group identified through research was budding artists who want to create and sell their artworks online. This user group confirmed initial assumptions about Crypto Dios users, but research also revealed that other majority portion of users also wanted to buy the artworks so they can invest in the opportunist. The major factor that influences the decision is the option of creating an extra source of income.

PERSONA

Through my secondary and primary research, I was able to get a clear picture of whom Crypto Dios target users are and created 2 personas that would accurately represent them – meet Rohit (the creator), and Aman (Buyer). These personas continued to guide my decisions moving forward, making sure my design is centered on who our user is.

REFLECTION AND NEXT STEP

What I’d do differently next time.

As someone who wasn’t very familiar with the Crypto and NFT Marketplace Scene, I had to learn a lot through research to gain a more solid understanding. Both secondary and primary research was key in getting up to speed with the market and being able to empathize with others’ experiences, especially since I haven’t gone through those experiences just yet.

Overall, this project was a lot of fun to work on – building an app from start to finish, with the latest technology of crypto wallets and blockchain that I’ve never worked with before. It was interesting to discover how much technology has advanced and learn more about its capabilities and limitations, and look forward to continuing to see how it evolves in the future.

1. RE-TEST

With the new revisions and branding incorporated, I would want to test my design again to ensure the design usability

2. ADD FEATURES

After the first version of the app has launched, I would observe how people are using it and work on updating priorities and adding new features to the app.

3. Add more Micro Animations

With the references from my users and peer,  I got to know that interaction animation is really useful for creating a memorable user experience.
